Cassie Dart directs Emancipation of the Proleteriat, An Inconvenience and the narrative host of Markoss for this year's Boxashorts, her first time directing theatre. These past two years Cassie has written and directed a number of short films with FixedPoint Productions, including The Last Outpost which featured as part of this year's Melbourne Underground Film Festival. Cassie has written and will direct FixedPoint's new short film Take later this year. Among other things Cassie acts, this year playing 11-year-old Hydra Sustainable as part of the VIC government's sustainability initiative in schools. In the past she has acted in theatre, film and as a performance poet. Cassie writes screenplays, poetry, short stories and novels. She hopes to continue persuing all things character and narrative, with the hope to make feature length films in the future.
